There is a pain that transcends suffering,

That hurts the soul without realizing it.

It's the weight of the mask that falls without warning,

Revealing the face that betrayed the smile.

Lack of character, wound in being,

A void that time cannot fill.

Where once there were promises and bonds,

Now only the shards and spaces remain.

Jesus, at supper, broke the bread,

But he felt the pain of betrayal.

For a companion, a friend at your side,

He received the kiss that made him condemned.

Thirty coins, the price of the end,

In the shadow of the world, love succumbs.

And today, in life, the echo persists,

The brother's betrayal still exists.

It's the dagger in the back, the look that looks away,

The cowardly gesture that steals joy.

But in the pain of the wound there are lessons to be learned,

Even though he was betrayed, Jesus was able to forgive and win.

Let not the scarcity of character rob the truth,

May the pain of betrayal not erase kindness.

For he who falls by unfaithful hands,

He rises stronger, as the Son of the Father of fathers.
